Furniture Project by Boss Design

Reading, UK

When national charity Make-A-Wish moved its head office to Thames Tower in Reading, Boss and Curve Workplaces worked together collaboratively to create a positive, fun environment for its staff and visitors. Interior décor and furniture needed to be bright and vibrant, with an eye-catching and stimulating area for visitors to enjoy.

The new look and feel had to fit the charity’s profile and aspirational dreams for terminally ill children.

Flexible solution

The entrance of the offices displays a cut out star shaped door upon entering, incorporating a blue and white brand theme which is used throughout the building.

Furniture space was kept minimal, with white flamingo tables and selection of myriad modular pieces from the Komac range upholstered in a blue fabric.

Open & Minimal

The main communal area to be used by families needed to be open, bright and very minimal. Starr chairs in an array of bright colours were combined with white deploy tables, central to a racetrack woven into the carpet for the younger visitors to enjoy.  Meeting rooms again were kept simple. Flip top Deploy tables and Starr chairs which are easy to stack, flexible and durable, were specified for ease of use.

Talking about the project, Mark Curtin, Director of Strategy and Business Transformation, Make-A-Wish commented:

“Many thanks to all. It was a pleasure working with you all. A first class company providing a first class service with great value.”
