Boss Design collaborated with Source Development on an exciting new project for leading law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn in Scotland along with Keppie, a Glasgow based A & D practice.
The brief was to create an offering for the offices in Glasgow that would keep the prestige and notable reputation they maintain as a business. This needed to be reflected through colour, use of space and quality of furniture. A high level of quality was a requirement upon first entrance into the building, and was expected to continue throughout the rest of the project. Being recognised throughout the industry for such attributes, Boss Design were the perfect choice for the project.
After visiting the Boss Design showroom in Clerkenwell, London, the client was impressed with the personality and high-quality of the Kruze collection. Seeing the furniture first hand led to several of the Kruze high back lounge chairs and Kruze coffee tables to be included in the reception and breakout space at the premises.
Whilst still maintaining a corporate feel, Kruze chairs fully upholstered on a 4-leg base were also specified in the client facing meeting rooms keeping a smart, professional appearance. Deploy flip top tables with a veneer finish were featured where reconfigurable options were required, assisting when layouts may need to be adapted for particular meetings or events.
Finding an area to touchdown and work effectively between meetings was important for Shepherd and Wedderburn.
Arthur high back sofas, by Lyndon, were included in the touchdown space for smaller open meeting areas and more private interactions. Interactive areas included Hoot seating and smaller Reef coffee tables, by Komac, creating a fun, playful and versatile way to break away from the more formal work settings.
Meeting rooms in the main office area were no less considered in the office refresh. With floor-to-ceiling glass utilising the quality of the Boss Design portfolio, Arran seating options and single Deploy tables were used in the smaller meeting rooms. Combining style and versatility, the Arran armchair could be seen throughout the meeting rooms upholstered in soft yellow, blue and orange fabrics. With the need to communicate to clients and other areas of the business quickly and efficiently, Boss Design deploy tables with power and data, and vertical cable management kept a professional, organised and presentable appearance.
Commenting on this latest specification, Liam Woods Director at Source Developments said: “We were approached to come up with a solution for the new Shepherd and Wedderburn office in Glasgow. We had to think about and understand the reputation and values of the business and for this to be reflected in the final install. Several factors were important to the business and so the manufacturer of choice needed to echo this. This led us to Boss Design, who were the right fit from the start. With design, settings and space all needing to be considered, the project was a success”.
